Denying problems is a common
practice. There are both those who usually do it, and who do it only
occasionally.
But, why does this mechanism start?
Surely because of fear, the fear of not being capable to solve the problem, or the consciousness that any solution will be difficult, or apparently impossible, to accept. So, we deny the
problem.
At the base of fear, there's scarce trust in ourselves, which brings us to think that way.
Denying problems, brings us to be unprepared to face situations that have developed independently from our conscious interventions
(anyhow, there has been an unconscious contribution). This usually creates more
damage, for by not doing anything the problem is likely to
grow, rather that the opposite!
